Mid Century Modern Furniture - Leather UV Rating explained

Our Mies Inspired
Exhibition Chair
We received a question today about the UV fastness of our leather and textiles.  This was the first time we had this type of question and thought we could expand on it a little.  First off, all of our leathers and fabrics are color processed with dyes that have UV barriers. Our leathers and textiles meet or exceed "Colorfastness To Light - ISO 105 B02 and are rated Class 4.0 @ 40 hours".

That said, regardless of how high the colorfastness to light class rating of a leather or textile is, when an upholstered piece of furniture is exposed to direct sunlight, some potential color fading over a period of time is normal.  Since we use high quality commercial and residential application leathers and textiles on all of our seating products that conform to the latest color fastness benchmarks,  any purchaser of our products can be assured we are providing them with leathers and textiles that will provide durable and lasting performance.
