Modern Classics Comparison Guides

Our Comparison Guides were created to help compare our products with the "signature" versions and the other reproductions you will find on the market.  We try to complete one every so often, and update our summary page to the mid century modern furniture reproductions comparison guides.

These Comparison guides are not meant to be exhaustive, but to help point out some key differences from our products (the Modern Classics Furniture brand) vs. the "signature" brands vs. the less expensive knock-offs on the market.  Essentially, it breaks down to three key factors:
  1. Does the reproduction faithfully match the authentic design in sewing details, dimensions  proportions and materials.
  2. Does the reproduction use quality materials such as stainless steel, 100% aniline-dyed leather on all exposed surfaces, quality bearings, hardwood frames, mortise and tenon joints, etc.
  3. Does the manufacturer/seller of the reproduction have a long history in producing these products, have essential quality control steps in place and adhere to those steps and does the seller actually have any control over the manufacturing.
We at Modern Classics Furniture go to great lengths to see that we say an unequivocal YES to each of these factors.
