Today marks the 128th birthday of one of the groundbreaking masters of modernism, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The German born architect pioneered his distinct style, which he would unwaveringly hold in high regard, as perfection could be easily recognized in the absence of ornamentation.
In 1929, Mies van der Rohe was commissioned to design the German Pavilion for the International Exposition in Barcelona. It was this assignment that led to the creation of one of his most famous and iconic pieces, what is now known as the “Barcelona Chair”. This chair still remains as popular as ever, as it can truly enhance any style of interior décor.
We make our own version of this famous chair, called the Exhibition Chair. Our replica is upholstered in high quality Italian leather with #304 stainless steel base where all joints are fully welded, sealed and polished to create seamless and clean flow. Our dimensions faithfully match the original. Learn this and more by checking out our Barcelona Chair replica comparison guide.
