Closer Look: Borge Mogensen's Model 2214 Chair replica

Borge Mogensen, a renowned furniture designer from Denmark, is recognized by many as a key influencer of the “Danish Modern” concept.  In 1962 Borge Mogensen designed this 2200 collection for his home in Gentofte, Denmark.  Gaining influence from his mentor, Kaare Klint, the pieces of the 2200 series have consistent characteristics of simplicity, smooth curves and are highly functional.

One of the most popular pieces of this series was the Model 2214 Chair due to the defining characteristics of comfort and simplicity that allows it to fit in almost any room.  The Modern Classics Model 2214 Chair replica is built on a hardwood frame and is covered in Scandinavian leather that comes in 15 color choices.  The cushions are filled with foam and Dacron, giving it high resiliency to last much longer than other replicas of this famous chair.

Come have a seat in this equally beautiful and comfortable chair in either our Chicago or Seattle showroom!
