Closer Look: The Barcelona Bench Reproduction

1929 was a momentous year for Mies van der Rohe and the popularity of his furniture collection he created for the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona, Spain.  Among the pieces in this collection is the ageless Barcelona Bench.

The Modern Classics Barcelona Bench Reproduction comes in two sizes, the 2-seater and the 3-seater.  Though there are other reproductions of this piece, we adhere to specific features that ensure the longevity and beauty of this bench that would make even Mies van der Rohe smile.  To name a few of these features:

- Polished stainless steel legs, unlike other reproductions that use chrome plating
- Solid walnut frame, rather than pressboard with a wood veneer
- High quality Italian Leather is used on the top, sides, and underneath and even on the belted leather to ensure that color is consistently matching on every part, rather than faux leather that cannot guarantee the same.
