The Humble Florence Knoll

During the 20th century when innovative furniture designs were emerging, Florence Knoll took it upon herself to design what she referred to as “fill-in pieces that no one else wants to do.”  Her geometric furniture designs offset the organically shaped and curved designs of her colleagues, like Saarinen and Bertoia.

Perhaps if Florence knew her designs would achieve an unwavering icon status in the following decades, she might have given herself more credit for what she humbly called her  ‘meat and potato’ furniture designs.

Our Florence Knoll Lounge Chair Reproduction follows the same dimensions of the original model.  We have improved upon it even more by using a higher quality of materials that have become available in the years since the original design.  You can read all about these improvements in our Comparison Guide.

Come visit us in our BellinghamChicago or Dallas showrooms where you can see everything we have to offer!
