Wegner's Solution For Perfect Posture

As much as I am always correcting myself, slouching seems to be my natural way of sitting when I am at my computer.  Not only does it look sloppy but it is detrimental to spinal alignment, to the digestive system and can even lead to poor circulation.  Hans Wegner recognized the importance of proper posture, and designed his iconic Wing Back Lounge Chair in a way to comfortably support the human spine.

Our Wing Back Lounge Chair Reproduction follows the same specifications of Wegner’s original design, making proper posture feel natural.  With the two stainless steel back legs being slightly lower than the two front legs, the seat has a backward slant that supports the upper back and neck while also supporting the natural curve of the lower back.

Oversized Art Replacing Last Year's Gallery Wall Trend

Ever since oversized art and statement wall decor began trending, my gallery wall, full of countless and randomly sized frames and images, in my living room suddenly seems.... cluttered, messy and to be an outdated trend I once thought was a good idea.

The oversized art trend seems to follow a consistent shift toward the revered minimalist lifestyle that is finally getting the recognition it deserves.  Simply put, a lifestyle of quality over quantity.  What better example of quality trumping quanitity than doing away with a tangled mess of a 'gallery wall'  and replacing it with a single, solitary and attention-grabbing piece of art.  Once in place, you may notice a level of serenity in the room that was muffled by the clutter of the old gallery wall.

Come visit us in any of our showroom locations in BellinghamChicago or Dallas and find your ideal modern furniture and art combination!

Closer Looks: Marcel Breuer's Wassily Chair

The Bauhaus Modern movement, beginning in 1917 Germany, marks the start of the modern movement.  Experimentation with new methods and materials was encouraged and resulted in iconic furniture designs like Marcel Breuer’s Wassily Chair.  Inspired by the handlebars of his bicycle, the Wassily Chair is the result of Breuer extruding tubular steel, an unprecedented method of the time when most furniture was crafted form wood.

Our Wassily Chair Reproduction closely matches the dimensions of the signature model, with a few minor adjustments to maximize comfort.  Our polished stainless steel frame is seamlessly bent, just as Marcel Breuer intended for it to be.  With 15 different leather colors to choose, this iconic accent chair can be made to fit in almost any room of the house!

You can come check out our Wassily Chair Reproduction along with everything else we have to offer at any of our factory showroom locations in BellinghamChicago or Dallas!
