A Perfect Change of Plan: Arne Jacobsen's Egg Chair

In 1958 Arne Jacobsen set about designing his visionary sofa for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.  After too many failed attempts and depleted patience, he decided to improvise on his vision by making it a chair instead of a sofa.   This change in design turned out even better than Jacobsen could have expected and resulted in the iconic Egg Chair we still know and love today.

We have made our Egg Chair and Ottoman Reproduction to the same specifications Arne Jacobsen intended, adding a little extra cushioning for premium comfort.  We offer our version in any of our 19 exclusive boucle fabric color options.

You can come check it out in person by visiting any of our three showroom locations in BellinghamChicago or Dallas!
